Who We Are

Saikl is a curated second-hand clothing store based in Uruguay. We operate the online store at saikl.com. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at hola@saikl.com.

Data We Collect

When you use our store, we may collect the following personal data:

• Name and email address (contact form and purchase)
• Shipping address and phone number (order fulfillment)
• Session and cart cookies (to keep you signed in and your cart across visits)
• Anonymous product-view counts (first-party cookie, no personal profile), used for stock decisions
• Order history and preferences (account management)

Consignor data (My wardrobe)

If you consign pieces with SAIKL, My wardrobe also uses this data. We handle it under Uruguay's Law 18.331, and you have the same rights over it that are described below:

• Contact details: your name, email, and WhatsApp number, to give you access to My wardrobe and to tell you about your sales and payouts.
• Payout details, if you add them: bank, account holder, and account number, to transfer what you're owed. We store the account number encrypted, and My wardrobe shows only its last 4 digits.
• My wardrobe session cookie: keeps your wardrobe open on that device. It renews on each visit, expires after 400 days without a visit, and is deleted when you tap Log out.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data exclusively to process and fulfill your orders, send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates), send marketing communications if you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time), and comply with our legal obligations under Uruguayan law.

Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

• Session cookie: keeps you signed in while you use the store.
• Cart (browser local storage): keeps your cart across visits.
• View-count cookie: a first-party cookie that avoids counting the same visit twice on product views, to help us make stock decisions. It builds no personal profile.
• My wardrobe cookie: for consignors only, keeps your wardrobe open on that device until you tap Log out.

You can manage or delete these cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Third-Party Services

We share necessary data with trusted third parties to operate our store: Medusa (e-commerce platform and order management), email delivery services, and website hosting and CDN providers. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Your Rights (Uruguay Law 18.331)

Under Uruguay's Personal Data Protection Law 18.331, you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Cancellation: request deletion of your personal data.
• Opposition: object to processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
• Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Order data is retained for 5 years as required by Uruguayan tax law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure password hashing, and restricted access controls. While we strive to protect your data, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
